Two years as the Richardsons 

I heard several anecdotes about marriage before Blaine and I tied the knot.  I heard, "the first year is the 

hardest;" but, I also heard, "the first year is easy...wait until you have kids."  I can't comment about how 

married life may change after children, since we don't have any; but, I can say the second year of marriage 

was definitely easier than the first.  Don't get me wrong, the first year was good; but, the second year was 

amazing!  If the days and years continue to get better, then we are certainly in for an incredible life 

together...

but I already knew that!

weekend with the westbrooks

In January, Blaine and I enjoyed a weekend get-a-way to Ocean Isle, North Carolina with our friends, the 

Westbrooks.  When Neely and Eric invited us to her family's beach house for the weekend, we couldn't say 

no.  The best part was, we couldn't have picked a better weekend; the weather was perfect...like jeans and 

a light jacket, sit on the dock with a Bloody Mary kind of perfect.  The view and the company weren't too 

bad, either.
